It's been a fantastic few months for Huey Cunningham, Harry Richmond and Corey Canning, who have all been making great progress representing their respective colleges in America! With the Fall Tournament Season now complete, all three lads can look back on some outstanding performances, valuable experiences and, most importantly, the fantastic achievement of representing their colleges' First Teams! Harry Richmond – Hutchinson Community College Harry has enjoyed an excellent start to his college golf career, producing some brilliant performances, including an outstanding second-place finish at 8 under par! He has also contributed to a record-breaking team victory, showing just how well he has settled into the competitive environment of American college golf. Huey Cunningham – Eckerd College Huey has also been making a fantastic impression, establishing himself within the First Team and contributing to some excellent team performances, including an incredible team score of 272, a new college record! A brilliant achievement and a reflection of the hard work he continues to put into his game. Corey Canning – Chowan University Corey has made a really positive start to life in America, earning his place in the First Team and recording an impressive top-20 finish in tournament competition. Competing at this level is a fantastic experience, and Corey is already showing the ability and determination needed to continue progressing. The Hard Work Continues! Although the Fall Tournament Season has finished, there will be no slowing down for the lads! The coming weeks will involve plenty of practice, training and preparation ahead of the Spring Season, before they return home for Christmas in December. Moving to America, balancing college life with golf and competing against some of the best young players is a huge commitment. All three have embraced the opportunity brilliantly, and their results are a real credit to their dedication, attitude and hard work. We couldn't be prouder of all three lads! It's fantastic to see golfers who have developed their games here at Ilkley now competing successfully on the other side of the Atlantic. We look forward to welcoming them home in December, hearing all about their experiences and following their continued success in the Spring Season. Keep up the fantastic work, Huey, Harry and Corey! |
