From start to finish, the atmosphere around Ilkley Golf Club was incredible. It was fantastic to see our team, members and our partnership with Ilkley Grammar School all playing such a big part throughout the week.
Just a few of the highlights…
- Archie Rowntree and Henry Croft caddying for Colin Montgomerie, with Fiona Wood caddying for Dame Laura Davies.
- Hearing some amazing words from Colin Montgomerie about the condition and quality of our golf course. Huge credit to our greenkeeping team and everyone involved in presenting Ilkley so brilliantly.
- Our Ilkley Grammar School students playing a huge role throughout the event and getting some incredible opportunities along the way, including meeting Colin Montgomerie and Sir Gareth Southgate.
- A brilliant Ladies’ Fashion Show hosted by Swing Out Sister, with a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening - although Archie in a dress may have stolen the show!
- A huge week of custom fitting, with three Titleist fitting specialists joining us alongside a TaylorMade fitting event. Our Ilkley Grammar School students also had the opportunity to experience a professional Titleist ball fitting.
- The week created an unbelievable amount of engagement across our social channels, with hundreds of thousands of views across our content - including one video reaching over 120,000 views in a single day!
- Jessie also gained some invaluable behind-the-scenes experience, shadowing the SGH Events marketing team and seeing first-hand what goes into delivering and promoting an event of this scale.
And throughout it all - plenty of famous faces, brilliant golf and an incredible buzz around the club.
A huge thank you to SGH Events for involving us so heavily throughout the Yorkshire Invitational and for giving our team, members and Ilkley Grammar School students so many fantastic opportunities.
There are far too many moments to fit into one post, and plenty more still to share…
But it really was a week to remember at Ilkley.
